On the Trail of Captain John Smith

Hi guys!! Here is an interactive website to explore Jamestown and the “adventures” of Captain John Smith. Please answer the following questions:

What happens after they initially decide not to build a fort?

Why was President Wingfield fired?

Do you think John Smith made up the story?

Do you think it is possible that John Smith misunderstood what was happening?

A Jamestown Adventure

Yes, you may play the mini-games in between; but be sure to answer the questions above!

Have a great day!

Mr. McGuire

“I Just Finished a Book” form

Dear Parent,

I just wanted to share with you information about the “I just Finished a Book” form that I included in the Friday folders. I’m sure that your child(ren) have shared with you that they are expected to complete two books each trimester. The form provides a means of evidence that the student read two books, of course, students may read as many books as they would like – as long as they read at least two – and I recommend that they complete the form shortly after reading the book and turn it in.
